The head of the Seanad has rubbished a proposal for senators to move out of Leinster House.
The Seanad chamber is facing temporary closure for upgrading works, due to health and safety fears about the age of Leinster House.
It's been suggested that the Seanad could borrow the Dáil chamber for two days a week - but Fianna Fáil's Terry Leyden wants to move to Farmleigh instead.
Seanad leader Maurice Cummins does not see it as a realistic option.
"When we have deliberated on it we will report back to the full house. I don't think there will be any intention of going to Farmleigh," said the Senator.
