The son of bankrupt businessman Sean Quinn has purged his contempt of court for breaching an order restraining asset stripping from Quinn companies.

Some €220,000 is now available to the court following the sale of Sean Quinn Jnr’s Dublin home.

Ms Justice Elizabeth Dunne jailed him for contempt last year over a $500,000 payment to a former director of Quinn Properties Ukraine, in proceedings brought by IBRC.

Today the judge said she was grateful the matter had reached this point.
