School principals call for more bishop resignations

Primary Schools Principals are today calling for the bishops named in the Murphy report to resign their positions as school patrons.

This adds to the already mounting pressure on the other bishops who were named in the report into clerical sex abuse in the Dublin Archdiocese, to stand down.

The Bishop of Limerick Donal Murray announced his resignation yesterday while the Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin Jim Moriarty has given a clear indication that he is prepared to resign from his post if it will serve victims and the Church.
