Rumour mill in full flow as Cabinet reshuffle imminent

The Taoiseach is due in the Dáil shortly to announce the new Cabinet.

The Taoiseach went further than having just one promotion on his side of the Government and dropped the current Ministers for Arts, Jimmy Deenihan.

Along with the departure of Phil Hogan to be our next EU Commissioner, Enda Kenny will promote Paschal Donoghue and the other name being mentioned for promotion is Damien English.

Leo Varadkar is to move to the Department of Health, whicvh could see Richard Bruton hang on in jobs.

Simon Coveney is expected to remain in Agriculture and James Reilly will become Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade.

On the Labour side Joan Burton has sacked Pat Rabitte and is promoting Alan Kelly to Environment and Housing, Jan O'Sullivan to Education and Alex White to Communications.

The party is also getting a super junior post in the area of jobs and Ged Nash will take up that position.
