Review of post office network starts today

The process to identify new opportunities for the post office network begins today.

The Post Office Development Group meets for the first time this afternoon. Representatives from An Post and the Irish Postmasters Union are members of the group.

Chairman Bobby Kerr said the process would be collaborative.

"My vision is we need to keep as many post offices open as possible," he said. "When we do the proper research and see all the views we will revert back to the Department of Communications with our findings."
