Revenue seize €80k of psychedelic drug in Cork

Revenue officers have seized a 1.5kgs of mescaline powder at a house in Cork city.

Officers working with the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, and the Cork Drugs Unit, seized the package at an address on the Lee Road in Cork on Tuesday.

The estimated street value of the seizure is €80,000, and a Spanish man in his 40s was arrested.

Mescaline is a psychedelic substance prohibited under the Misuse of Drugs Acts, 1977 to 2016.
