Rescued man airlifted to hospital

A man is being airlifted to Tralee hospital after being rescued from Carrauntoohill in Kerry.

The climber is reported to have suffered from chest pains before reaching the peak.

A rescue operation coordinated by Kerry Mountain Rescue saw the man airlifted by Shannon's coastguard helicopter.

The man is also said to be suffering from hypothermia.
