Renewed pressure on Government over respite grant cut

The Government is coming in for renewed criticism over its refusal to row back on tough budget measures.

Among the most contentious issues announced last week is a decision to cut the respite grant by €325.

Newstalk political editor Shane Coleman says many Fine Gael and Labour backbenchers insist there should be a U-turn on the issue.
