PSNI investigating aggravated burglary of elderly couple in Derry

Police in the North are investigating an aggravated burglary at the home of an elderly couple in county Derry.

Two masked men, armed with suspected firearms reportedly forced their way into the home in Coleraine in the early hours this morning

Detectives say a man and woman - both aged in their 70's - were threatened and tied up before the property was ransacked and a sum of money was taken.

Police in Coleraine are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
