PSNI investigate Down and Antrim knife attacks

Police in the North are questioning two men after separate knife attacks in counties Antrim and Down.

A 27-year-old man suffered stab wounds to his stomach after a row broke out in the Cooke Street area of Belfast shortly before 6am today. A 24-year-old man has been arrested for questioning.

Meanwhile, a 29-year-old man is being held after a serious assault in Co Down.

A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the face and neck during the assault at Duke Street in Warrenpoint.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the attacks.
