PSNI investigate after church damaged in arson attack

A church has been damaged after an arson attack in Co Down.

Tyres were set against the property on the Loughbrickland Road, Rathfriland and set alight.

Damage was caused to the side of the building and windows.

It is believed the arson attack happened between 11 and 11.30pm on Wednesday.

The PSNI have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 101.
