PSNI hunt escaped prisoner

In the North, police are searching for a dangerous prisoner who is on the run from Magilligan Prison.

33-year-old Jonathan Turley was granted bail on Saturday, May 9, but has failed to return to the prison.

Detectives know he travelled to Belfast on Saturday evening and was then sighted in the Newcastle area on Sunday.

However, they say they cannot rule out that Mr Turley may be travelling within Northern Ireland.

The public are being urged not to approach the convict, as he has an extensive history of violence and may pose a risk to them.
