PSNI ask or public's help identifying man's body

The PSNI is today trying to identify a man whose body washed ashore in Co Down on Saturday.

The remains were discovered in the sea, close to Ardglass harbour.

A post mortem examination is being carried out.

The man is described as 30-40 years old, of medium build, 5 feet 8 inches tall with light facial stubble and a round face.

The dark-haired man was wearing a navy woollen jumper, over a stripy blue top, blue jeans and brown casual trainers.

He was carrying euros, and police are therefore investigating the possibility that he may have travelled North from the Republic.

Anyone who recognises this description or think they know who this man may be is asked to contact police in Downpatrick on 00 44 845 600 8000.
