Protests to continue at Sligo General Hospital

Local campaigners in Sligo have said they intend to continue with their demands for the retention of cancer services at Sligo General Hospital.

They are opposed to plans to transfer the services to University Hospital Galway.

Although the authorities are pressing ahead with the changes, 3,000 people took part in a protest march and rally in Sligo last night.
