Prescription charges for medical card holders are set to be cut in the Budget.
It is reported the controversial fee will be capped at €20 a month - a reduction of €5.
According to the Irish Independent its the first step in phasing out the charge in the lifetime of this Government.
As it currently stands medical card holders pay €120 each year in prescription fees.
