Pregnant women are being warned against travelling to parts of south and central America because of a rare virus spread by mosquitoes.
The Zika virus can lead to babies being born with smaller heads and underdeveloped brains.
It is thought there could be around 1.3 million cases across Latin America - including in Barbados, Brazil and Mexico.
US health authorities have issued a warning to avoid 22 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Included in the warning is Barbados, Bolivia, Ecudoe, Guadeloupe, Saint Martin, Guyana, Cape Verde and Samoa.
