Permission granted for development at Intel's Leixlip site

Permission for a 162,000 square metre development at Intel's Leixlip site in Co. Kildare has been granted.

The development will be a brand-new chip fabrication plant.

The construction phase alone will generate several hundred temporary jobs.

Intel, Leixlip was chosen by the parent company in May to be one of only three sites, globally, to construct next generation 14 nanometer chips.
