Pedestrian dies after being hit by car in Co Wicklow

A pedestrian has been killed after he was struck by a car near Wicklow town last night.

The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at Roscath on M11 shortly before 10.30pm.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Diversions remain in place on the southbound carriageway of the M11 between Wicklow South and Brittas Bay.
