Parents groups disappointed by teachers’ decision

Parents groups say they are disappointed by the decision of secondary school teaching unions to impose a ban on parent-teacher meetings outside of school hours.

The TUI and the ASTI have imposed the ban as part of their protests against education cutbacks.

The National Parents Council says it will make things very difficult at a time when parents and teachers should be working together.
