Overnight temperatures to fall below freezing

Met Eireann is forecasting temperatures as low as minus 4C overnight.

Showers of sleet and snow are expected in many parts of the country.

Drivers are being urged to take extreme care on the roads, whilst Irish Water Safety is warning the public about the danger of drowning with frost creating ice on water.
