Operation Thor sees six men arrested

Gardaí have arrested six men, as part of Operation Thor, following planned searches of a number of houses in the Dublin area.

Six houses were searched in Clondalkin, Palmerstown, Lucan and Balgaddy yesterday and a motorbike - believed to be stolen - a substantial amount of cash, firearm components and ammunition were seized.

Six men are currently questioned over the seizures.

One man was arrested for an offence under the firearms act and he remains in custody at Ronanstown Garda Station.
