Officers investigating alleged corruption within Gardaí make an arrest

Gardaí investigating alleged corruption within the force have made an arrest.

The man in his early 50s was arrested yesterday for suspected conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

He was detained at a Garda Station in Co. Tipperary before being released without charge.

Investigations are ongoing.

The arrest is connected to an investigation into alleged wrongdoing or corruption involving Gardaí in the Southern Region.
