O'Brien launches attack on tribunal

Businessman Denis O'Brien has launched a scathing attack on the Moriarty Tribunal.

Today marks 13 years since the start of the inquiry into the awarding of a second mobile phone licence to Esat Digifone in the 1990's.

However, the tribunal is yet to issue a report into its findings, despite costing the taxpayer €200m so far.

Mr O'Brien is presenting a 'tongue in cheek' tribute saying: "I brought a birthday cake for them, because I didn't want them to spend money on a cake to celebrate 13 years of existence."
