Noonan: Give every schoolchild an iPad

Minister for Finance Michael Noonan has said that every child in the country over the age of five should get a tablet computer.

In a speech at a Fine Gael fundraiser, Michael Noonan said the move was the "X Factor" Ireland needs to ensure an economic recovery.

However, the use of tablets is controversial, with some experts saying they could negatively effect learning in children.
