Navy detains Irish fishing vessel off coast of Cork

An Irish registered fishing vessel has been detained off the south-east of Cork in relation to an alleged breach of fishing regulations.

The Naval Service Vessel L.É. AOIFE detained the boat earlier today which is now being escorted to Cobh where it will be handed over to Gardaí.

It brings to 15 the number of vessels detained by the Naval Service so far this year.
