Murphy: Greek decision on Gaza flotilla an 'outrage'

Socialist Party MEP Paul Murphy has condemned the Greek authorities' decision to ban any of the Gaza flotilla ships from leaving Greek ports.

Last weekend Mr Murphy was hoping to join the Italian boat that was a part of the flotilla but it was not allowed to leave the port on the Greek Island of Corfu.

Mr Murphy was originally part of the Irish crew on board the MV Saoirse but last week they claimed the boat had been sabotaged by the Israelis.

He said the Greek intervention is an "outrage".
