Motorists urged to take care on icy roads

Motorists are being urged to take extreme care on the roads this morning.

Temperatures plummeted once again overnight, leaving roads icy and dangerous.

Roads in Counties Laois, Roscommon, Offaly, Mayo and Galway are the worst affected this morning.

Gardai are urging motorists not to drive unless absolutely necessary.
