Motorcyclist killed in Co Kerry crash

A motorcyclist has died in a road crash in Co. Kerry.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided with a car on the N70, between Kenmare and Sneem, at Lackeen, Blackwater.

It happened shortly before midday today. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The occupants of the car were uninjured.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses contact Kenmare Garda Station.

The road is currently closed and local traffic diversions are in place. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested to attend the scene and the local Coroner has been notified.
