Monaghan gardaí look for Castleblaney jewellery-store raiders

Gardaí in Monaghan are continuing to search for a gang of thieves who robbed a jewellery store in Castleblaney yesterday afternoon.

The incident happened sometime between 2pm and 3pm, in a store on Main Street.

It is thought up to four people entered the shop and while one person distracted the sales assistant, the others stole several trays of jewellery, said to be worth thousands of euro.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Castleblaney garda station.
