Michael Noonan: 'Double act' continues after bout of pneumonia over Christmas

The Finance Minister Michael Noonan has confirmed he suffered from pneumonia over the Christmas period.

Mr Noonan had already confirmed he underwent surgery over the Christmas break to remove some fluid from his chest.

He said he is now well recovered and back focussing on his work.

He said: "I had a chest infection, which I think some of you are aware of, and the infection didn't respond to antibiotics so it developed into pneumonia.

"So I was hospitalised over Christmas. I am back on the road again now and the double act continues."
