Met Eireann issue high wind alerts across the country

Two weather warnings remain in place around the country this morning.

Met Éireann issued a status orange wind warning for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal - with winds reaching up to 75kms per hour expected in parts.

Meanwhile, a status yellow wind alert remains in place across Munster and Leinster - with winds expected to reach 65kms per hour.

Drivers are being warned to take extra care on the roads this morning and watch out for debris and fallen trees.
