MEP Paul Murphy rips up property tax form in European Parliament

An Irish MEP has ripped up his property tax return in the European Parliament.

Dublin Socialist Party MEP Paul Murphy posted a picture of the torn up document on twitter this morning.

He was reacting to the news that Apple avails of a 2% corporation tax rate in Ireland.

In a statement, Paul Murphy said that while major corporations are getting tax deals "the Irish government is engaged in a campaign of threatening to rob the property tax from working people".
