McNamara ordered to tear down 'Achill-Henge'

A property developer has today been ordered to tear down a Stonehenge-type of structure on Achill Island.

The man behind 'Achill-Henge' is Joe McNamara from Salthill, Galway who previously came to public attention for protests against Anglo Irish Bank.

The High Court ruled that the building, which is described as an ornamental garden, is in breach of planning regulations.
