Man’s body found in Ennis

Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating the discovery of a body in Ennis, Co. Clare.

The body, which is believed to be that of a man, was removed from the River Fergus in the Castlelawn area of the town just after midday.

The remains were removed to Ennis General Hospital and a post mortem examination was due to be carried out this afternoon.

Gardaí confirmed they were investigating the circumstances of the death.
