Man to appear in court in connection with Offaly stabbing

A man is to appear in court in Tullamore this evening charged in connection with the stabbing to death of Derek McDonagh in Offaly yesterday.

The 28-year-old, father of one - whose wife was expecting their second child - was fatally stabbed at the Arden view estate in Tullamore town during a violent dispute yesterday morning.

Two other men who were being detained have been released without charge.
