Man still in custody after Carlow death

Gardaí in Carlow are continuing to question a 31-year-old man in connection with the death of a woman over the weekend.

The 24-year-old woman was found dead at a house on High Street in Leighlinbridge at around 6am yesterday morning.

An initial post-mortem examination was carried out last night, but the cause of death has not been disclosed.

Gardaí are appealing for information from anyone who was in the High Street area in the early hours of yesterday morning.
