Man still being questioned over Wexford cannabis haul

A man in his 50s remains in custody this evening after gardaí seized cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €700,000 at Ballymurn in Co Wexford yesterday.

As part their investigation gardaí seized further quantities of cannabis when they carried out a search operation this afternoon.

Cannabis herb and resin with an estimated street value of €300,000 -pending analysis- was also discovered during a search of land near Enniscorthy.

A second man aged in his 30s has been released without charge. A file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
