Man injured in freak tree fall accident

One person has been injured after a tree fell onto a car in Co Kildare this evening.

It happened on the R413 Monasterevin Road just outside Kildare Town.

Two people were in the car at the time. The injured person is not believed to have been hurt seriously.

The road will remain closed until further notice.
