Man in serious condition after stabbing in Down, three arrested

Three men have been arrested following a stabbing in county Down.

A 21-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen after a fight broke out between a number of people in the Church Street area of Portaferry at around 1.30am this morning.

His condition is believed to be serious but stable.

The arrested men, two aged 22 and one aged 37, remain in custody and are said to be assisting police with their enquiries.
