Man in critical condition after Dublin shooting

A man is in a critical condition in hospital following a shooting in Dublin last night.

The victim - who is in his 40s - was gunned down outside a shopping centre in Tallaght at around 10pm.

The shooting happened while the man was sitting outside a licensed premises at a shopping centre on St Dominics Road in Tallaght.

Two men drove up on a motorbike and the passenger fired a number of shots.

The man was rushed to Tallaght Hospital where he is this morning, fighting for his life.

The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination.
