Man in court over drugs seizure

A man arrested in Carlow on Saturday appeared in front of Blanchardstown Disctrict Court today in connection with the seizure of cannabis worth up to €6.5m in Dunboyne, Co. Meath last week.

Sean O'Sullivan, aged 43, was charged with possession of cannabis resin for sale or supply and remanded to Cloverhill Prison to appear in Cloverhill Courthouse on September 25.

A 41-year-old has already been in court in connection with the seizure of more than a tonne of the drug from a van and an industrial premises in Dunboyne last Thursday.
