A man in his late thirties has been arrested following the seizure of €120,000 worth of drugs in Cork.

The man was arrested yesterday afternoon when gardaí stopped and found 10kgs of cannabis in a car on the South Link Road.

The man, who is from Wexford, was brought to the Bridewell garda station for questioning.

The seizure is the second such cannabis seizure in Cork in the space of a week and follows the seizure of 10kgs of cannabis - also worth €120,000 euro - in a raid on a house on the Blackrock Road last Friday.
