Man found severely injuredin Ballyfermot dies

A man in his 20s has died following an assault in an industrial estate.

Gardaí said officers were called to a unit on O’Casey Avenue in the Parkwest estate near Ballyfermot in Dublin at about 4am today.

They found the man with severe injuries. He was transferred by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Gardaí said the scene has been preserved for forensic technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

Detectives appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
