Man due for court after €80,000 drug seizure in Carlow

A man is due in court this morning after gardaí seized €80,000 worth of cannabis in Carlow town.

Officers discovered the drugs during searches of a house in the Barrowvale area at 11am yesterday.

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene, while a second man in his 30s was taken to hospital with chest injuries.

The arrested man is being held at Carlow garda station. He is expected to appear before Carlow District Court later.
