Man dies in workplace accident in Co Kilkenny

A man has died following a workplace accident in Co Kilkenny.

Gardaí were called to a port services company at Belview Point on Friday at around 4.30pm.

A garda spokesperson said the man was killed after he was caught under contents that were being offloaded while he was emptying a trailer.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Health and Safety Authority has been notified and their investigation is ongoing.
