Man dies in Laois crash

Gardai are investigating a fatal road collision on the N8 at Watercastle, Durrow, Co. Laois.

A 28-year-old man was killed when his car collided with a tree at around 9.50pm last night.

He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and no other vehicle was involved.

The scene was technically examined and the road has been re-opened to traffic.
