Man dies in hospital following Cork fire

A man who was critically injured after a fire in Cork city on Thursday morning has died in hospital.

Kevin Kiely, from Limerick, was forced to jump from the top of an apartment block on the North Mall after the blaze took hold at 12.30am.

The 38-year-old died at Cork University Hospital in the early hours of yesterday morning and will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
