Man dies in Co Cork housefire

A post mortem examination is to be carried out today on the body of a man in his twenties who died in a housefire in Cobh in Co Cork.

The blaze broke out at an apartment in the town in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The man's body was only discovered last night. His death is not believed to be suspicious.

There was also a fire at a pub on the southside of Cork city last night.

The Lough Tavern was gutted in the blaze overnight. No one was injured.
