Man dies following minibus crash in Kerry

A man has died in a road crash involving a minibus in Co. Kerry.

The 52-year-old man was injured when the minibus he was driving left the road and struck a ditch, on the N86 between Ballintaggart and Dingle, at around 3.20 this afternoon.

Four passengers who were travelling in the minibus at the time were uninjured.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry where he was later pronounced dead.

The stretch of road on N86 is currently closed for a forensic examination, and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Tralee Garda Station.
