Man critical after Temple Bar assault; Gardaí believe attack was filmed

A man in his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital after a serious assault in Dublin yesterday evening.

The incident happened at Cow's Lane in the Temple Bar area of the city at about 8.45pm.

The man suffered serious head injuries and was taken to St. James's Hospital where he remains in a critical condition this morning.

Three men in their 20s have been arrested and they are being held at Pearse Street and Irishtown garda stations.

Gardaí at Pearse Street believe a number of witnesses filmed the event on their phones and are appealing to anyone with information on the assault to contact them.
